LUMBY & DISTRICT MINOR AMATEUR HOCKEY ASSOCIATION

2024-2025 SEASON REGISTRATION

The Lumby Minor Hockey Association is busy getting ready for this year’s upcoming 2024/2025 season and we have some details to share with you.

There is quite a bit of information to share so please take a minute to review it. Should you have any questions please contact your child’s Division Director (listed below).

1. REGISTRATION:

Open June 15, 2024 - Closes July 31, 2024

Please try to register early to secure a spot for the 2024/2025 Season

• Payment Schedule based on registration dates:
  • Registration June 15 - June 30
    • If you register and make full payment before June 30, 2024, you will be eligible to receive the "early bird discount" of $50.00
  • Registration July 1 - July 30:
    • Payment is due in full before August 15
  • Payment Plans - June 15 - September 10, 2024
    • If you wish to participate in a payment plan, all payments must be made by September 1, 2024
    • Example payment plan for U13 player:
      • June 30, 2024 - $200.00
      • July 30, 2024 - $200.00
      • August 30, 2024 - $205.00
  • Late fee of $75 will apply if not paid in full by September 10, 2024
  • Members will not be permitted on the ice until full registration fees are paid.
  • Payments can be made via the following options:
    • E-Transfer: lumbyhockeyreg@gmail.com - please put your child’s name and division in comments.
    • Cheque or cash - please make arrangements with the Registrar.
    • Credit card - there is a 3.0% surcharge
      • PLEASE NOTE: the administration fee is only payable if paying via credit card - if paying via e-transfer please do not include the administration fee

• If you are applying for financial assistance through KidSport, Jumpstart, etc. Please let the registrar know by emailing them at lumbyhockeyreg@gmail.com

CARDED/REP/DEVELOPMENT/ZONE TEAMS

• If a player is trying out for a CARDED/REP/DEVELOPMENT/ZONE team in another association, you still need to register with your home association first. When registering choose the Fee called “Tryout for REP/DEV with other Association”. You must be registered with your home association before you can be transferred to any other association. You will also need to complete the “OMAHA Residential Waiver - Carded” form or by clicking the following link: OMAHA Residential Waiver - Carded. This form will need to be completed and emailed to the registrar (lumbyhockeyreg@gmail.com), along with your $25.00 administration fee. Once both the form and fee have been received it will be submitted for approval by the home association and the new association. The form can also be found on our website under forms.

PACKAGE DISCOUNTS/PROMOCODES

Package Discounts (to be selected with your children's division - can select multiple packages) -

• Earlybird - $50.00 discount if payment is made in full by June 30, 2024
• Goalie - $150.00 discount if you child is a goalie in the following divisions and provides all their own gear (U11, U13, U15, U18)
• First year Player - 50% off registration (if your child has never played minor hockey prior).  If a player has previously played intro, discount does not apply for initiation or other divisions.

Promocodes (this will be entered on the last page of the registration; right hand side of the page) -

• “thirdchild” - this applies to families with three or more children.  Full fee is payable for the first two players and for the 3 rd  child a 50% discount will apply. To be applied to the child with the lowest fees payable - please contact the Registrar before submitting payment to ensure this promo was applied correctly - lumbyhockeyreg@gmail.com. If any of your three children have the “First Year Player” discount, you can not use this discount as well.
• If you have received a gift certificate from an auction, please enter the promo code that was on the gift certificate. Please contact the registrar if you are having problems or questions - lumbyhockeyreg@gmail.com.

GAME SOCKS - NEW for 2024-2025

We are offering the ordering of socks with registration this year, with hopes that socks will be here for the beginning of the season. If you need socks, please ensure you order and submit payment with your registration. There will be minimum quantities available for purchase once hockey starts. Please see sizing chart below:

2. COACH APPLICATIONS:

• Applications must be submitted by June 30, 2024
• Once you have submitted your online application, you will receive a confirmation email. Please ensure you receive this, to ensure you will be considered for a head coaching position. 

3. EXHIBITION/TOURNAMENT TEAM:

• LMHA is exploring the option to host integrated Development Exhibition/Tournament Teams (U11-U15 division) for the 2024-25 Season.  This would be in addition to your Recreational Team.  This will allow an opportunity to develop and bring a more competitive experience for those players involved.  The team will be selected through an evaluation process.  There will be additional practices available monthly. Tournaments and exhibition games are in addition and are scheduled based on the team preference and ice availability (these cannot interfere with their integrated recreational teams schedule).
• There will be additional fees for this exhibition/tournament team that will be determined later. These fees paid would cover the additional cost of equipment, ice time, exhibition games and additional tournament fees.

4. DRYLAND TRAINING:

LMHA is exploring the option to offer dryland training, more information will come later.
